CAMPUS ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Campus Advisory Council (CAC) is an advisory, not policy making, council that works with the local school principal, who is accountable for total operation of the school.

The CAC shall provide advice and assistance in the following areas: 1) Planning; 2) Budgeting;
3) Curriculum; 4) Staffing Patterns; 5) Staff Development; and 6) School Organization.

The CAC will create and monitor the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP). The ultimate goal of this plan is to improve student achievement for all students, including those served in special programs. The CIP is considered a living document and can be changed as the students needs change. Baranoff Elementary keeps a copy of this document in the front office for viewing.

CAC membership consists of 6-8 parents (minimum), 6-8 professional staff (minimum), 1 classified staff, 1 citizen representative (cannot have a child in the school district), 1 business representative (cannot) have a child in the school district) and the school principal. The term of membership is two years with half of the members rotating off the council each year. Meetings are usually held once a month.
